The shop was described as “an asset to paragon arcade which brightens up Paragon Street.”

Cooke & Son Ltd. was established in Hull in 1864 as a clockmaker and optician and has been operating from various locations including Paragon Street, Scale Lane and Whitefriargate. It has been in Market Place since the 1950s and supplies essential products and services including navigational equipment, charts and publications to mariners locally, nationally and Internationally. Some of the staff have been with the business for more than 50 years.

Savile Row, Monroe’s Bar, Unit 49 and Cherry’s Bar are synonymous with top-notch entertainment and have established themselves as safe havens for everyone. Their unwavering commitment to building an inclusive environment has created a home away from home for the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike, embracing diversity and celebrating unity.

Customers were spellbound by the magic of Milchig with one of them highlighting “the wizards working behind the scenes to create some of the best flavour combinations I’ve ever experienced and some of the greatest foods I’ve ever tasted!” Others told how impressed they were by the helpful staff and the atmosphere. In summary, one reported: “Food is always outstanding, coffee is sublime, always a great experience and the vibes are everything Hull needs.”

Hull College is on a resurgent journey after a long period of instability. Part of that is a three phase campus transformation project which has brought a renewed energy to the way staff and students behave and interact. The College has led the way in integrating refugees and asylum seekers into society. It is also building stronger links with business and with the wider community. The message is Hull College is back and will continue to rise to its former status and place within the Hull community.
