HullBID is a Business Improvement District which covers Hull city centre, and supports the businesses within it. As a not-for profit independent organisation, our remit is to ensure that Hull city centre is a thriving place to live, work and visit, and one of the ways in which we do this is by putting on events. These events are generally free to attend and are aimed at boosting footfall, which then results in people using the surrounding shops, restaurants, pubs, leisure facilities and other businesses.
Our events are designed to support businesses in all sectors, and we actively encourage our member businesses to get involved and raise awareness of what they do.
Previous events have included:
- Yum! Festival of Food and Drink
- Hull Street Food Nights
- Dine Wednesdays
- Trinity Music Festival
- Hull Fashion Week
- BeYOUty
- The Beauty Box
- Hull Trinity Farmers’ Market
- Christmas events
- Business networking events, including our Inspiring Women Dinner as part of Humber Biz Week
- HullBID Awards
- Dino Day
- Hulloween Steampunk Festival
- Street Entertainment
- Trails through the city centre
…and many more!
We also work in partnership with other organisations within the city centre, to support their events, with funding or equipment. These include the likes of Humber Street Sesh, Hull Pride, Princes Quay Santa Parade, Fruit Market Partnership, Hull City Council, Visit Hull and Hull Culture and Leisure, amongst others.
If you have a suggestion for an event you would like to see in Hull City Centre, please do contact our Operations Manager – Jane Smallwood on 07739 759783 or email jane@hullbid.co.uk
As a not-for-profit, any income raised from sponsorship or stallholders etc goes directly back into funding the events themselves.
